I am Jenn Nydahl, a licensed Special Educator in both Washington and Oregon. With over 12 years of teaching experience in various settings, ranging from alternative high schools to elementary life skills classrooms, I have developed a keen interest in understanding the way children think and in identifying their unique learning styles. As a parent of two middle schoolers, I have been on both sides of the table in education meetings. I am passionate about helping families navigate the education system and in connecting them with the resources they need to be successful.

CONSULTATION

Need education support for your child but not sure where to start? I understand that each student's situation and needs are unique. Tell me about your child, and we can brainstorm ideas and next steps on how to best support them.

ACADEMIC EVALUATIONS

Is your child struggling at school and you are searching for reasons why? I use Academic Evaluations that provide specific and comprehensive information about the way students think and learn. Evaluations give educators and parents insight about how to support a student best. They are also useful for empowering students to take charge of their learning. 

REVIEW EDUCATION DOCUMENTS

Are you having trouble understanding your child's education plan? Special Education documents can be overwhelming (up to 40 pages in length!) and hard to read (lots of legal language!). I can help you make sense of these documents so you are better equipped to advocate for your child.

EDUCATION MEETINGS

Do you need help navigating the education system? I can provide advocacy support for education meetings and work with schools to better support your child.
